9AA is a bluegrass band grown from a house residency gig (The Bluegrass Sessions) at the famous Ironwood Stage and Grill in Calgary, Alberta…a nationally and internationally popular roots music venue that throws down 400+ shows a year.
Fred Mallette, Banjo - a veteran of Calgary and area, folk clubs,
music festivals, and pubs playing some of the finest bluegrass banjo in western Canada.
Al LaMonaca, Guitar/Dobro - a roots music and bluegrass regular on the Calgary music scene for decades; playing guitar, banjo and dobro in acoustic bands, duos and trios. Hothouse
Dale Ulan, Bass - a dog house specialist that also doubles as
a recording engineer and electronics specialist having produced many albums for local and regional roots artists.
Bruce Rohn, Fiddle - a road veteran having toured with regional country performers, a frequent local performer at bluegrass club concerts, a jam hound at festivals and a local fiddle wizard.
